Wexford Festival Reviews
I recently returned from a fantastic time at the Wexford Festival being in the Chorus for La Tempesta (Halevy), Armida (Dvorak) and Lalla Roukh. I was also lucky enough to play the role of the Grand Duke in Alfred Cellier’s The Spectre Knight directed by Sinead O’Neill and conducted by Gioele Muglialdo. Reviews below:
“Thomas Bennett made a fine impression as the larger-than-life eccentric Duke. He sang with a real swagger, his domineering, resonant, dark-colored bass booming out his lines without a care in the world. In deliberately overegging the role, he added to the general sense of make-believe and fun” - Opera Wire

”Thomas Bennett was a resonant Grand Duke, the gravity of his cavernous bass nicely undercut by his ‘half-crazed’ self-delusions.” - Opera Magazine
“British bass Thomas Bennett was a sonorous Grand Duke” - The Irish Times
